Introduction from the Head
First and foremost we believe that children need to be happy in order to learn and from the moment you step inside the school you can sense the friendly community that allows pupils to blossom.
We expect good manners, kindness and perseverance from everyone and our motto “We Care. We Share. We Strive. We Succeed.” underpins everything we do.
Approach to learning
Walk into any classroom at Lorenden and you will see children enjoying and engaging with their learning. With small class sizes, teachers get to know pupils very quickly.
We have a strong record of pupils being awarded Grammar school places and in pupils receiving offers for a range of Independent School scholarships including Academic, Sport, Drama and Music.
Our last inspection was in November 2015, conducted by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. The inspection was to verify compliance with the Independent Schools Regulations and we were delighted to be found to be fully compliant.
Our team are all friendly and professional people who want the best for pupils at Lorenden. Highly qualified teachers are supported by excellent teaching assistants and support staff. We love the family atmosphere at Lorenden. The staff genuinely care about the children and our kids have blossomed with the attention and encouragement they receive. As parents we always feel welcome to pop in and that our thoughts and suggestions are listened to. We're looking forward to our third child joining the lovely caring community at Lorenden next year.
