Year 2: Fire of London Tudor Houses

Posted on: 22 June, 2018

This week in Year 2 we have busy learning about the Great Fire of London. Writing and drama activities were combined with art, as a row of Tudor Houses were built. The topic will continue over the next couple of weeks culminating in a real great fire of 'Lorenden" to illustrate  to the children how the building materials of the houses in 1666 and the proximity of the houses to each other were major causes of the the destruction of 13, 800 homes. Watch out for Mrs T armed with a fire extinguisher!
