Boys’ Games Teacher and Head of PE required for April 2021

Full-time or part-time*, permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and talented PE and Games specialist teacher who is able to interest and inspire pupils for all ages and abilities to achieve their best, is able to lead PE across the school and Boys’ Games in Prep, and who believes in the Lorenden Prep School ethos and aims. The role is offered either full time or 0.8 part-time and both will attract some additional teaching - please state on your application what you are able to offer and happy to get involved with. Lorenden Prep School is a small and vibrant school of 120 pupils with an excellent local reputation; most pupils come to the school from recommendations from other parents or staff. It is a friendly, family environment with one form entry and with high expectations of pupils of all ages. The school is currently graded ‘excellent’ across all areas in the ISI 2018 inspection and was awarded a Swale Business Award in 2019 for outstanding achievement. The school has also been very successful in navigating online learning across all subjects during the pandemic and has a strong and supportive parent community. Pupils are successful in gaining scholarships, including sports scholarships, to independent secondary schools. The school is a member of IAPS and an acquired school in the Methodist Independent Schools Trust.
