On Wednesday Reception went to visit St Peter & St Paul Church in Boughton.
We went to look around this very old church and listen to Ada’s mum ring the church bells. The children climbed the spiral staircase to the bell tower. Ada’s mum told us all about the bells and then played them. They all make a different sound and one of the bells is as heavy as a cow! We then had a turn at playing the smaller hand bells and some of the children were very brave, going further up the stairs to see the clock and the bells.
It was an excellent trip and a huge thank you to Ada’s mum.
