On Wednesday 13th March the U11 A boys’ hockey team played Spring Grove away. We travelled to Ashford Hockey Club and luckily the sun came out after all the stormy weather. We started really well, putting Spring Grove under pressure from the start, and Bertie scored an early goal. The team played some good passing hockey with Ed and Alex linking up really well on the right-hand side. By half time we had raced into a 4 – 0 lead with Bertie scoring a first-half hat-trick.
In the second half we kept playing and managed to score seven more goals. Well played team, keep it up for the next game. Man of the Match was Bertie for his great goal-scoring.
Goal scorers were: Bertie: 4, Me: 3, Leo: 2, Raif and Edward: 1 each
