On Wednesday 20th march 2019, the U11 girls played in a netball tournament at Sutton Valence.
Our first match was against St Michaels. They won the toss and chose first centre pass, but Lauren quickly intercepted the ball and got it down to our shooters for them to score. Unfortunately, St Michaels retaliated and scored but we got it back together and scored 3 more goals. Final score was 4-1 to Lorenden.
The next match was against Spring Grove, it was an even match but with excellent defending from Lydia, Lauren and me, we stopped them from getting any goals. Mia and Skye scored a goal each making the final score 2-0 to us.
Holmewood House was our next match, they won the toss and chose first centre pass but with a great interception from Livvy we scored. With some great shots from Mia and Skye, and some great interceptions from Camille and Lauren, we won 6-0.
We were up against Ashford next as they won the toss they chose first centre pass but Lydia made a great interception and passed the ball into the D for Mia to score. Ashford came back and scored. We got it passed their defence to score 4 more . The final score was 5-1 to us
Our 5th match was against Sutton Valence. We won the toss and chose first centre. Livvy passed the ball to Skye who scored. We were playing exceptionally well scoring 5 more goals but Sutton Valence managed to get passed our defence and scored. The final score was 6-1 to us.
Rose Hill was our next match. They won the toss but we intercepted and scored. Rose Hill got past our defence and scored. Livvy then got ball and passed to Skye who scored. The final score was 2-1 to us.
Our last match of the tournament was against Junior Kings. We won the toss and chose first centre. Livvy passed to Lauren who passed it into the D for Mia to score. Skye scored 1 goal and Mia scored another goal making the final score 3-0 to Lorenden.
We won the tournament!
